And then there were three...

As most of you know, we welcomed our sweet daughter, Sawyer Ghering Routley-Lane on January 31, 2011. She has been the center of everyone's world ever since. She has wild dark hair (which only seems to get crazier if we try to tame it), dark blue eyes, and chubby cheeks. Lucky for us, we got to the hospital just before the winter snow hit Wichita Falls and enjoyed a 4-day mini vacation... minus the labor & delivery part. I could have stayed forever with the helpful nurses (except for the fact that I missed the furry babies terribly) but Jeremy was ready to say good-bye to the not-so-comfy couch he had been camped out on during our stay. A very special thank you to my dear friend Amy who I don't think I would have made it through that whole ordeal without. She was my rock & I hope to repay the favor someday... soon :)

Hard to believe but our tiny little baby is two months old TODAY! I know everyone says it but it goes by entirely too fast. She's not longer that fragile newborn we brought home but our chunky monkey that eats EVERYTHING.

Hootie Hu's first mug shot :)

So since we have lots of out of town friends & family, I've decided to start a blog to keep everyone informed on the happenings of Hootie Hu.

Since the arrival of our sweetface, I have finally gotten most of my energy back. THANK GOODNESS! And although most of it is consumed by Hootie herself, I've caught the creative bug. Since I have a new photo subject, it's opened a whole new range of what I can play with plus in search of the perfect picture taking outfits, I have enlisted my mom and her no-pattern using sewing skills. We've had a very generous offer from a fabulous children's boutique in Wichita Falls, to carry our minky blankets. Although we're still in the very early planning stages, it's very exciting not to mention flattering that someone else enjoys our weekend projects as much as we do. We will keep everyone posted on our business progress.

Custom burp cloths (made from Minky or cotton fabric & cloth diapers)
which make FANTASTIC burp cloths. I get tons of compliments on them & I love that they match everything

This isn't one that my mom did but one I purchased before my blanket intervention.
Just showing patterns we'll be able to get :)

Pillowcase Dress (includes matching bloomers or diaper covers)
All Hootie's outfits match her bedding for some crazy reason...

As I am new to this whole blogging thing, and the fact that I think I have a lot to say, I'm sure I'll be posting quite a bit (At least at first). Suggestions & comments welcomed. And apologies for my spelling errors in advance...
Thank you everyone for checking our my blog! I hope to keep it as entertaining to read and it is to write!
