It's been a very busy last couple of weeks! I celebrated my first Mother's Day, Hootie Hu has started adding custom baby bedding to our line of goodies, and I've had some really fun photo shoots! I've been allowed some awesome opportunities the last couple of weeks to practice my photography skills and I am so thankful. It's been a learning process and I've really enjoyed working with everyone. I've even lined up TWO weddings! One is set in a country barn just outside of town with a bride who has the coolest vintage taste and the other is set at Coyote Ranch Resort with a bride who makes her own couture cakes!! Seriously can't go wrong and can't wait to see all the details.

Here's some of the stuff I've been working on!

I'm working on a whole seperate blog for my photos to help (at least help me) keep them organized. Not quite up and running just yet so stay posted! Questions about my photography just e-mail me at tarahghering@yahoo.com or find me on Facebook.

One of our first big milestones that I got to celebrate was my first Mother's Day (to a non-fur baby). We spent Mother's Day with Jerms family at Logans and got to check out the Coyote Ranch Resort with my family.

My sweet girl is getting so big so fast. I know everyone says that and I'll prob say it for the rest of my life but it couldn't be more true. Sawyer sits up in her boppy and just hangs out with the family, she sleeps through the night, and she talks non-stop. No seriously... NON-STOP. Her giggles and smiles are contagious. I've recently had to clean out her closets of all her newborn clothes and it terribly sad. She is the best little traveler & shopper. As long as she's fed, she's one happy camper. We have also discovered that not only does Sawyer look like her dad (at least more than she looks like me) she has his body temp of 110 degrees! I've never seen a baby sweat so much!
I look over and big girl is reading the mail.... I don't think she's happy about what she sees.... May 13, 2011
We had our first cereal! She was soooo excited her mouth was opened wide and the food wouldn't stay in. Better luck next time. Poor girl wore herself out & slept the rest of the night.

I love that when you tilt her upside down, she airs up:)

Hootie goes in for her 4 month appointment on June 1st. YES 4 MONTHS!! I can't believe it either. We're all taking bets on her weight. Girl likes to eat... at least she gets it honest. Sadly, Sawyer's hair has begun to lay down and it's pretty much tamed. I have a feeling her wild hair will reappear someday. We're in the process of planning our first family vacation this summer. I am in need of a beach!

We've recently added some new items to Hootie Hu so be sure to check out that blog at http://www.hootiehu.blogspot.com/ and go "LIKE" our fan page at Hootie Hu on Facebook. Questions about custom orders e-mail hootiehu@gmail.com.
All your comments & support are so appreciated!

I actually started writing this post about 2 weeks ago and am just finishing. Hopefully I'll get better at this whole blogging thing.... or at least come up with something so "keep-you-at-the-edge-of-your-seat" that you don't notice :)

Thanks all!!

Happy Birthday Jeremy!

Who doesn't love any reason to have cake! Believe it or not, Jeremy and I have yet to celebrate his birthday. I've either been out of town or he's working. So this year I wanted to at least do something...

I'm not usually one to gush over anyone, but Jerms is pretty fantastic. He says the worst things at the worst time which always makes me laugh, he supports every crazy idea that I can come up with with, leaves work to come fix the dog clippers I broke in the middle of grooming Geds, and does the dishes because I hate it with a passion. Not to mention, dances & sings to Hootie in the papoose when she's not a happy camper. We are two very lucky girls to have someone who takes such good care of us.

Some of you may know that Jeremy is the proud owner of a 1979 vintage Bluebird (Yes, like the school buses) mobile home. It's true 70's inside & out and even has an Addam's Family theme song for a horn. It's def his favorite toy. So I thought it would be a great idea to get his cake made in the shape of his bus. Now just the task of finding someone to do it. Well Miss Alex (bettyfoxcakes@yahoo.com) is the girl to go to!

I couldn't have been happier with the cake! And if any of you know Jeremy... or even see pics of Jerms... he NEVER smiles. I've learn to get over this but I actually captured a rare moment where he actually SMILES on purpose!

We had a great small dinner with family & friends at Jerm's favorite place, The Jalapeno Tree. It was a great way to end a great weekend :)

In other Hootie Hu news... She will be 3 months old tomorrow. She is no longer a newborn :(  She is drooling everywhere and loves loves loves her Baby Bjorn. Jerms calls it his secret weapon.
